Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center
Wharf of Wonder
At the Exploreum, we recognize that every child is born a scientist! The Wharf of Wonder, a Community Project of the Junior League of Mobile, is an optimal learning environment designed especially for the smallest Exploreum visitors, ages 0-6, and their parents or caregivers.
In this whimsical setting, your little one will learn fundamental skills that build self-confidence, creativity, and curiosity about the world. A secure area free from the competition of older children.
What are the little ones supposed to do during choir? Let them enjoy singing, games, and instrument play with Mrs. Angela. She has been working with students of all ages for over 20 years and has a heart for our children. Class is 11AM-11:30AM on Wednesdays and is for ages 3-6. Tuition is $70 per semester and $50 for choir siblings.
In the fall, we will be offering a Mommy and Me class for ages 18 months to 2 years. It’ll be on Thursday mornings from 10:00am-10:45am. It’s broken up into four-week sessions.

Nature Tots connects our youngest visitors to nature through stories, art, science, math, music, and movement while interacting with their adult caregiver and other children. Each weekly class has a seasonal theme, and we will spend as much time outdoors as the weather and interest allows. Activities related to each theme encourage children to discover and explore the world around them at their own pace and in their own way- we understand that toddlers have minds of their own and the way they learn best is through hands-on exploration.
