Belonging to homeschool social groups is a crucial component of a well-rounded education for homeschoolers. These vibrant communities provide homeschooled students with valuable opportunities to interact with peers, fostering social development, teamwork, and lifelong friendships. Through shared experiences, extracurricular activities, and a supportive network of like-minded families, these groups offer a holistic educational experience that goes beyond academics.
The Girls Club of Baldwin County Homeschoolers is a group created to be a non-structured, fun way to meet new people for young women ages 11 years and up from the local South Alabama Homeschooling area.
Its purpose is to help girls meet, get to know each other, and hopefully form a few lasting friendships.
We know how important it is for our girls to have good friends that they can talk to and we want to help foster these relationships through a fun, relaxed, informal environment.
Meetings will be held once a month with simple but fun activities to engage the girls in conversations with each other. In some meetings, there will be special guest speakers.
We are a homeschool teen club whose mission is to create and host fun, safe social functions for grades 9th – 12th. Our club is supervised by parents but is main planning is by the student council.
Students have voted to allow middle school students in 7th or 8th grade to attend some of the casual events. Be sure to read the description for each event. The student planning committee is comprised of members of the High School Event Planning Class led by Suzanne Stafford of Elemental Design.
Students plan events for peers for high school credit. The purpose of GCT is to provide student-led social events for homeschooled teens on the MS Gulf Coast. Events are inclusive and open to all interested homeschool students. No membership fee to participate, just pay the event ticket price.
Events are a social activity plus a fundraiser to help offset the cost of the formal dances. We offer a Senior Scholarship at the spring prom (pending fundraising and ticket sales).

Our High Schoolers meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month at Sweet Home Coffee in Robertsdale.
Any local homeschooling high schooler is welcome to join us. We started this so that when students graduate they will know their fellow graduates better.
Parents are welcome to join and hang out and chat with fellow parents.
