Upper Elementary (4th & 5th)
The following are not a full listing of all curriculums available to homeschoolers, but a list of some used by Alabama homeschool parents to he help if you are feeling overwhelmed with options. These curriculum’s run the gamut. They are religious, and secular, they are right leaning and left, they are common core aligned and NOT Common core aligned. The only thing they all have in common is that they were recommended by homeschool parents. You will need to refer to the “about” tabs to find out if they match your beliefs and educational styles!
Language Arts

For Grammar we really like Easy Grammar and for writing Winning with Writing, Moving Beyond the Page, CLE units Language Arts, Analytical Grammar, Essentials in Writing, and Soaring with Spelling, spelling work and Vocab comes from IEW. Institute for the Excellence of Writing.
Math:
Teaching textbooks, Wild Math curriculum, Prodigy Math, Happy Numbers, Life of Fred, Saxon Math, Dr. Shorman, an instructor in TX, with live or pre-recorded math instruction for Saxon Math courses, Math U See, Rod and Staff.
History:
Veritas self paced history, Veritas self paced history, Mystery of History, Story of the World, Primary Sources or immediate, first-hand accounts of a topic, from people who had a direct connection with it.
Science
